Busy But Satisfying
After spending most of the weekend out of town, we are finally home. The Girl having an out of town soccer tournament the same weekend as California Girl and I had an out of town road race made for a lot of driving. We were able to run the race as planned and get her to and from all of her games but it the weekend was far from restful. Even though it’s sometimes very hectic, I try and let the children do as much as possible. I know that in just a few years I’ll have all the time to rest that I need.
We are dead tired but we had fun in the race. I ran with California Girl so we both finished at exactly the same time. I may but the picture of us at the finish line but I’m not sure I want to commemorate forgetting my running shorts. It was really neat running together. I don’t think we’ll do it all of the time but I’m sure we’ll do it again in the future. California Girl is sleeping on the couch right now. It’s been a long day for us. There’s not a lot to eat here but we are both too tired to go out for dinner.
The team The Girl played on made it to the finals. They were only one bad bounce from winning it all. She fit in really well considering she had never played with them before. She definitely made them a better team. She’s already made several friends even though she’s only known then for a couple of days. In fact, they want her to play with them again sometime. She really enjoyed playing with them too. They have more good players are than on her regular team and she really liked the fact that they didn’t rely on her to do everything. She played, really well even though most of the competition was already in high school.
We still need to complete the tag from Just Me. And I am going to try and visit everyone’s blog and see how their weekend went. If not today then tomorrow for sure. For now I just want to unwind from a busy but very satisfying weekend.

Glad you had a nice weekend. Have a relaxing evening.
Maureen: It was busy but these are the days that memories are made of. It’s only 10:30 and everybody is in bed but me. I did all of the driving so I’m still unwinding.
How far did you run? And how did your daughter make out in her soccer games?
Monty: We both ran 13:1 miles. Not our fasted times but still very all things considered. The Girl’s team won 3 and lost 1. Unfortunately the 1 was in the finals. She wasn’t playing for her regular team but she really liked the players.
