Too Cold for Soccer
A cold wind was blowing but The Girl played her first outdoor soccer game of the season today; and it was not the best game that she has played. She made a “bad touch” when she was the last defender which led to a goal. And then she misplayed a two on one break which led to another goal. Other than those two mistakes, she played a good game; but that was too much to over come so they ended up loosing. I expected her to be mad about “playing bad” but she just said “I had a bad game. I’ll play better next week.” I didn’t know what to say. I wasn’t sure if this was our daughter or an alien. She’s usually mad for a long time after a loss. So, it was very unusual that she didn’t take it so hard. I just hope that she’s not looking her edge.

TXSM: Glad that you are back. I hope that you don’t get sick anymore for a long time. The Girl is good so she’s allowed to have a big head if she doesn’t take it to the extreme. She can do things that other girls can’t both in the open field or when she’s being closely guarded. She has to play really well for her team to win. Even on she really stood out.

It is your daughter….she’s just growing up! Hey guys, you probably thought I’d left the land of blogging….I did for awhile, but I’m back…for good. Trying to catch up with you guys. Boo is doing soccer again this season….looks like we’ll have some stories to swap. She had her first game last week and scored 3 goals….yeah…she’s got the big head now!
