Two For Tuesday – 23
Someone asked recently if we had any photographs of California Girl’s diaphragm. We had a few but decided to take some new ones and make a collage of her with it. It’s probably not the best method of birth control for us given how often we have sex but it works for us. We’ve used just about everything over the years but my favorite method of contraception is nothing at all. Nothing beats having sex when you’re trying to make a baby. For us, those days were long ago and are probably gone forever; but we both really enjoyed having sex with a purpose. I don’t think we ever felt closer than when we were trying to conceive children.
This post is up early for once because of Mardi Gras. I hope everyone who is celebrating it tonight has a good time. I know that we will.

Narcissus: Thanks. Now that you mention it, I have wondered why you don’t see much mention of contraception in blogging.
We like our bathroom too. Is great since there are usually two people in it.
We used a number of other methods over the years before we settled on the diaphragm. It is a nuisance since you always have to go and get it but it is the most “user friendly”. The IUD was good but if you’re allergic to metal then you can’t use them either. We probably don’t want any more kids but we’re not comfortable with either of us being sterilized.
Willie: I do sometimes feel the diaphragm but since I could feel the filament attached to the IUD California Girl used before switching to the diaphragm, bumping it is no big deal. Bumping that filament, on the other hand was not fun. We’ll post some more diaphragm pictures sometime.
Lori: Thanks so much for pointing out the link. I just hope were famous in a good sort of a way. And we’re not going anywhere.

I like this post a lot. You’ll see sex blogs everywhere, but very few ever mention contraception.
As a person who has had a nightmare of a time with the more conventional forms of birth control (latex and metal allergies, severe fear of needles, inability to take hormones) it’s nice to see a positive view of an altenative. Thanks!
