Two For Tuesday – 23

Tuesday, February 28th, 2006

Someone asked recently if we had any photographs of California Girl’s diaphragm. We had a few but decided to take some new ones and make a collage of her with it. It’s probably not the best method of birth control for us given how often we have sex but it works for us. We’ve used just about everything over the years but my favorite method of contraception is nothing at all. Nothing beats having sex when you’re trying to make a baby. For us, those days were long ago and are probably gone forever; but we both really enjoyed having sex with a purpose. I don’t think we ever felt closer than when we were trying to conceive children.

This post is up early for once because of Mardi Gras. I hope everyone who is celebrating it tonight has a good time. I know that we will.

Two Good Signs

Monday, February 27th, 2006

The Girl got her “acceptance letter” to the same private high school that The Boy goes to last week. It’s not hard to get in, almost everyone who applies does. What was gratifying was how proud she was of the letter. It’s in her room still stuck in frame of her mirror which is where she puts all of her important stuff. I was just going to file it but she wanted to keep it. She’s starting to pay a lot more attention to her academics.

The Girl also got the results of her high school placement test. She scored at the 10th grade level for everything. But what was even better was the way that she called me to report the test results as soon as she got home from school. Not only did she do well but she liked doing well. And I know that she had been comparing scores with some of her friends. I don’t want her to be overly competitive; however, I like the fact that she is taking her grades more seriously as she approaches high school.

It seems she is finally starting to understand the importance of getting good grades. The Girl can really play soccer. And sometimes, it seemed that that was the only thing that mattered to her. Now, she seems to be interested in doing well in her schoolwork too. I’ve said to people on the past that “you’ll read about her in the newspaper if she can stay eligible”. I may need to amend that just to “you’ll read about her in the newspaper”.

Sad Songs

Sunday, February 26th, 2006

I’ve seen this challenge at a couple of places on the net most notably at Brico’sso I thought I would do it too. I like sad songs which is strange according to California Girl since I am such a happy person. My version of the challenge only focuses on sad songs. The same rules apply as on other blogs. Whoever guesses correctly gets a compilation CD of some tunes in my library that I think they would like. Out of the following artists, pick the one who I do not have.

  1. Don McLean
  2. Earth, Wind & Fire
  3. Eric Clapton
  4. Harry Chapin
  5. Ne-Yo
  6. Pink
  7. Quincy Jones
  8. Smokey Robinson
  9. The Manhattans
  10. Whitesnake

I’ll provide a private link for the winner(s) to download their customized MP3 playlist or mail an audio CD if they don’t have a broadband connection. The contest will endWednesday evening so guess away until then.

A Sore Dick

Sunday, February 26th, 2006

I’m not quite sure how it happened but I’ve got some chafing on the tip of my dick. It happens from time to time and neither of us can figure out why. The only thing that we can think it might be from is from California Girl’s diaphragm but we don’t see how that could have caused it. We had kind of a long double header on Saturday that was sandwiched around taking The Boy to and from school. Otherwise, our sex life has been normal. One thing that was good was that California Girl offered to kiss it and make it feel better.

It felt much better when she was finished. ;) We don’t have a photograph since it was before I got the camera but I spent plenty of time between California Girl’s legs too. Her girl parts were in perfect working order. And they worked very well a little later in the morning I might add.

Where’s My Cape?

Sunday, February 26th, 2006

This weekend has been as good as the last week was bad. The Girl went to two social functions on Friday which put her in teenager heaven. The Boy finally finished a big project at school so he could relax for the first time in ages. And California Girl and I spent an unhurried Saturday together for what seemed like the first time in ages. And The Girl scored a goal in her soccer game today.

We all went out to eat at everybody’s favorite restaurant on Saturday night. The kids had wanted to go to the Outback Steak House but I thought that it would be nice for everyone to have to have a really sumptuous meal after such a long week. The restaurant is really nice. The service is always very good and the portions are enormous. The only “problem” is that it the check was enormous too. We’ve only got one checking account but it was “my treat” for everyone being nice to me.

I gave California Girl some red roses today just to let her know I appreciate her. I generally prefer more lasting gifts but sometimes flowers express the perfect sentiment. We’re going to eat pizza and watch a movie in the home theater. This weekend reminds me of the glorious days that we had last summer. The ones you wish could go on forever. Or that you could bottle so that you could relive them again. This is was life is all about.

Clark Kent For A While

Friday, February 24th, 2006

I’ve not been my normal “Superman” self this week. California Girl, The Boy and The Girl have all been very understanding. I’ll put my cape back on soon but I am really appreciative of how tolerant everyone has been while I’ve been droopy. Obviously, the kids don’t read this blog but I wanted to mention them anyway. The Girl even baked me a cake on Tuesday. I’m usually going non stop so it was great to slow down and not feel like I was letting everyone down. That’s what makes our family so great. It’s always the four of us together rather than each of us individually.

And at times like this California Girl is my rock. She is always very supportive of me but she’s been extra special this week. There is no place that I would rather be than with her. I’m going to do something nice for her now that I’m getting my mojo back. I’d let you all know but it would run the surprise since this is a joint blog. I know that its short notice but I’m also going to ask if she can dream up any “special dispensation” she wants for me to do special do to her. California Girl. I don’t know what time you’ll read this but start thinking of things we might do this weekend. I’ve got some ideas but this weekend is for you.

I’m looking for a phone booth now.

HNT - 27

Thursday, February 23rd, 2006

This past Tuesday was one of those bittersweet days that happen from time to time. Mine was bad but I knew that other people’s days were worse. So it was a good time to crawl into bed and try and forget. So, going to bed and leaving my worries behind is the theme of this weeks HNT post. Can you guess what’s going on underneath the covers?

California Girl and I are usually sex on top of the covers people but I felt like being covered up.

Ask MCB/CG Day - 7

Wednesday, February 22nd, 2006

Today is ask MCB/CG day. I’m not sure how many questions we’ll get with this post shoe-horned between Two For Tuesday and Half-Nekkid Thursday but I wanted to make sure that we didn’t forget about it like we did in December. This is the eighth time that we have done this. The questions have been pretty interesting in the past. Here are the rules for any new visitors. Feel free to ask us anything. We’ll respond in the comments or, if the answer is long, in a separate post. We will answer anything that is asked, usually before our next post. If you don’t read this when its first posted but still have a question, go ahead and ask it. There isn’t a cutoff date. So please leave us a question if you’ve got one.

Two For Tuesday – 22

Wednesday, February 22nd, 2006

Today was one of those days where all I wanted to do was get back in bed. I had a doctor’s appointment at 7:45 A.M. this morning that, even though it was over quickly, was not fun. Then, a “reorganization” was going on when I got into work. So, today was one of those days that can’t end quickly enough. The only thing that helped was that California Girl was able to come snuggle with me.

After a while, we did do more than snuggle but, unlike most other Two For Tuesday posts, you’ll have to use your imagination.

Boys Are Calling

Wednesday, February 22nd, 2006

Well it finally happened. The phone rang and there was some boy on the other end asking for The Girl. I put him on hold and told her the telephone was for her. She picked it upon her cordless phone and went into the basement and shut the door. (As if being in her bedroom with the door closed wouldn’t give her enough privacy.) Meanwhile, The Boy got two anonymous gifts for Valentine’s Day last week and doesn’t even know who they’re from. Why couldn’t she be that oblivious?
