Eight Activities

Sunday, October 16th, 2005 | Him | By: Midwestern City Boy

Here is my schedule from yesterday. The times are approximate but you get the idea. And as you could imagine, I filled up the car with gas on Friday and the gauge is already on “E”.

7:00 A.M. - 7:45 A.M. Take the boy to high school for his cross country meet.
8:00 A.M. - 9:00 A.M. Saturday morning sex.
9:30 A.M. - 12:40 P.M. Drive 130 miles round trip to The Boy’s cross country match. Watch him set a PR (personal record) and run faster than I ever could.
10:00 A.M. - 12:40 P.M. California Girl attends The Girl’s soccer game. They won 1 to nil.
12:50 P.M. - 2:15 P.M. Attend a friend’s wedding with California Girl. I always love weddings; they re so full of hope.
3:00 P.M. Grandma brings the boy home since they got back before the wedding was over and I was unable to retrieve him.
3:00 P.M. - 3:30 P.M. Open birthday presents with California Girl, The Boy and The Girl.
3:50 P.M. - 8:15 P.M. Attend wedding reception. We did not stay as long as we would have liked to since we had dinner plans for the evening.
8:45 P.M. - 10:15 P.M. Go out to dinner for my birthday with California Girl and the kids.
10:30 P.M. - 11:15 P.M. Take the Girl to her grandmother’s house so that she can attend church on Sunday. The Boy is too tired from a long week and wants to sleep in. (Just like mom and Dad.)

We have not done anything today except go to the park and run. And have sex. ;)

Whew…I’m tired reading that! Looks like you did have a pretty busy day but sounds like a fun day! Oh, and I watched the Ohio State game Saturday — man, what a game! I thought of you while I was watching it — figured it was one of your 8 events for the day! haha :) HAPPY BIRTHDAY TOO! I CAN’T BELIEVE YOU DIDN’T TELL US!

Wanting More: I did not get to view the game live. Instead, I “watched” the entire game in 30-minutes between activities making frequent use of the fast forward button of the DVR.

Pretty Peanut: The older that they get the busier you become as parents. But despite all of the rushing around, I am trying to enjoy these days. In five years, they will be both be in college and I will be wondering where the time went.

You’re more than welcome. I usually comment on most blogs hat I read. It’s not my nature to be a “lurker”.
