Mission Accomplished
California Girl started her period over the long weekend but that did not slow us down. I am pretty good at going down on her while she is in the midst of her period. And, best of all, there is no requirement for California Girl to get up and go get her diaphragm. So, if we have the towels ready, there is no interruption. I know this is a strange concept for those of you who use more modern birth control but for us it is a rare treat to be able to smoothly transition from oral sex to regular sex.
It was good to be able to like around in bed and not wonder what the kids might be thinking. We may not have caught up on our sleep from all of the early mornings but we did catch up on sex; at least as well as that can be accomplished. California Girl is usually very amorous during her period and seemed especially so over the weekend. There was more than one occasion where I just laid her back on the bed, undid her shorts and got started. If Labor Day is the symbolic end of summer we certainly celebrated it with a bang.
We even squeezed in some sex on Saturday morning before The Boy’s cross country meet after I had dropped him off at school but before I had to leave for the meet myself. I always wonder if the other parents can tell what I was doing. I also wonder if any of them were doing the same thing. We are still in search of an alternative for our summer sex schedule. But the spirit of summer is still alive as we continue the quest.
