A Busy Weekend
This past weekend was so busy with kids’ activities, California Girl and I barely had time to breathe. With two kids playing fall sports, sometimes, weekends are even more hectic than weekdays. This was one of those weekends.
The Boy had to be at school to leave for his cross country meet at 7:30 and The Girl had to be to her soccer game by 7:45 which is actually earlier than the have to be to school. So we got up earlier than we would have on a school day even though it was Saturday. And since I couldn’t stay for The Girl’s entire game, we had to be in two cars.
I watched the entire first half and part of the second then I jumped in my car and drove across town to the course where The Boy’s cross country meet was being held. I arrived just as the starting gun for the race that he was in went off. I ran around the course like mad cheering and getting his splits at various points, then cheered him on across the finish line. He cut over two minutes off his time from the previous meet. He is really getting the hang of it. We watched some of the other races that his team members were in then went home. As soon as we got home, he went to take a shower and California Girl and our daughter got in the car to go back to her soccer tournament.
It was after 5:00 when we got home from the second game. I took a nap which was probably not the thing to do since I couldn’t get to bed that night and we had another early day scheduled for Sunday. We grabbed a quick bite when I woke up then it was off to bed for everybody except me since I wasn’t sleepy (even though I wished I was).
The Girl’s first game on Sunday was even earlier than the one on Saturday so we had to leave the house before 6:00 A.M. Once that game was over, we came back, changed our clothes and went for a run in the park. The Girl’s team didn’t make the finals so there wasn’t an afternoon game and we finally had a break.
We warmed up the water and lounged in the pool for a coupe of hours in the late afternoon. Then we came inside and had a quickie before dinner. Then it was time to get the kids settled down and ready to go to school on Monday.
I am getting tired just recounting it. For the first day in quite some time, there was no Saturday sex for us. Thankfully, we are taking this coming Friday off and have a four day weekend coming up! And we plan to follow the holiday sex schedule shown on the sign in our previous post.

whew! I’m tired just reading that too MCB. Although it was an eventful weekend it sounds like you had some great family fun - maybe you can make up for the lack of sex this past weekend with the coming weekend.

Rosie: With all of the bad weather passing through I am more than glad we have plenty of insider activities planned.
Wanting More: We can never make up for lost sex, but we can become more adventurous and aware of our surroundings.

Kelly: I never heard it called that before but I like the concept. I don’t know how we’ll eventually calm down our busy schedules but I am looking forward to the four-day weekend. Only one more day!

Looks like the rain will cease by the week-end. But what does it matter if you will be indoors anyway? Enjoy the long week-end.
