Burning Sun
I know that I should not have but I went running outside for my early afternoon workout. It was HOT. But, in a way, I “enjoy” the heat. Not that I like running when its 92-degrees with a “feels like” of 105-degrees. But it could be freezing cold. There will be days this winter when its 22-degrres with a wind chill of 12-degrees so I make it a point to enjoy the summer even if it’s too hot.
When I got home, it was 97-degrees with a feels like of 107-degrees. Perfect weather for getting into the pool. There’s nothing like frolicking in water when it’s too hot to move if you’re not submerged. We stayed in the pool until the sun had settled into the western sky. Afterwards we cooked hamburgers and had a nice late dinner. I thought about grilling but it was too hot to be near fire even after the sun had gone down. Still we have a great evening.
Most people can’t wait until the heat wave that we have been having is over. For us these days are part of what makes a great summer; spending lazy evenings in the pool leaving our worries behind. School starts soon and the summer will be over. Until then, I’m going to enjoy every moment even if it is almost 100-degrees.

Redheads should not spend toooo much time in the sun. So I am staying inside, just working and goofing off. Not all of us have tranquil, cool, sexy swimming pools.

Kelly: August isn’t as good for us since the kids go back to school and sports practices are starting. We can’t say in the pool for as long as we would like except on weekends. Summer is far too short for us.
Pools are great fun but we don’t have any other toys. I’d like to have a roadster, for example.
Rosie: I know that sun isn’t good for me but I enjoy anyway because it’s the symbol of the summer. Freezing rain will be her before we know it. I spent enough time inside in the late 90’s to last a lifetime. Now I do outside stuff year around. In the winter I go skiing/snowboarding with my son. I’ve hot a much more hedonistic tendency than when I was younger.
Wanting More: Women are always welcome especially if they are topless.

Me too MCB - this is actually my favorite kind of weather. And normally I have to wait until August to enjoy it!
I envy your pool though - but love all the ways you enjoy it and that you share!
