Work Gets Under My Skin
This blog is not about work but I want to take a moment to vent. I have to go out of town for company business next week. Ordinarily, I don’t mind business travel but, in this case, the reason I’m going is stupid, and, it’s really someone else’s job that I got stuck with. And, while we’re on the subject of work, the (second) best software developer in our company gave notice on Thursday. Guess who now gets all of his work plus their current work load. I should be looking for another job. Oh, wait. I am. He just beat me to it. Then he could have had all of my work. Enough said.

Oh man, the last 5 sentences are cracking me up. Sorry ’bout the sucky work situation.
Does CG get to go with you next week? Maybe you can find time for hotel sex.
If not hotel sex, it could be a good homecoming!! I know what you mean about having to take on someone’s work…I tend to take more on than I should…or should I say, it is handed to me because they know I will follow through!!
Good luck! ~HER~
Chickie: Like all of my business trips except for one in the long ago past, it’s a solo trip. If CG was coming then with would be like a mini-vacation and I would not be complaining. Speaking of hotel sex, I have a hotel story this I’ll post if I have time tonight after I finish my chores and before I go out.
BCD: He and I are both good at our jobs and management doesn’t have much confidence in anybody else. I think they kind of know that giving me all his work will run me off but the know that it’s probably over anyone else’s head and they’re hoping that I’ll at least get some of it done before I leave. I saw a management brochure on this once. It called it the “Star Performer Syndrome”.
