California Girl Then and Now

Sunday, April 24th, 2005 | Her, Him, Photos | By: Midwestern City Boy

We had such a good time making our illustrated ABC List last weekend, that we decided to have a “Then and Now” photo session this weekend. That’s what I love about California Girl; she’s willing to try new things and usually ends up having fun. Even when she doesn’t, she is a good sport. I think that her attitude is one of the reasons we have been married so long. I can talk to her about anything.

As best as we can remember, the then photographs were taken in April 1985. The now photographs were taken this weekend. The pictures are almost exactly 20 years apart. I don’t think that California Girl has changed very much. But what I like the best is that we are still doing some of the same things that we did in 1985. Our relationship is still stimulating and exciting. We haven’t turned into a dull and boring old, married couple that doesn’t do any thing together unless it’s with the children.

You can find it here.

Thanks for the compliments. We really enjoy doing the photo shoots. Our goal is to illustrate our life and times without being (too) pornographic. Though it takes more planning and effort, we both prefer taking “themed” photographs versus just setting the camera on the tripod.
