Migration Complete

I just completed the finishing touches on migrating Married In Ohio from blogspot.com to its own domain. The only loose threads are to create some categories and categorize the existing posts. In addition to transferring the content created by blogger, I also imported the corresponding haloscan.com comments. This site is ready to go live as soon as the DNS registration propagates through the Internet.

I am in love with WordPress. The difference between it and blogger.com is like the difference between night and day. I probably wouldn’t like it as much if I wasn’t running it on my own server and didn’t have the ability to make custom tweaks. I am still learning some of its functionality but I like what I have worked with so far. Plus, I get all of the perks of running locally including the ability to post pictures and easily update configurations without the nuisance of FTP. Hopefully our server will keep on running.
